AIRPORT INFORMATION

Jordan has three main airports handling over two millions of passengers and 70'000 tons of freight annually. The Queen Alia International Airport near Amman is he largest of the three and is main gate way for air traffic into the Kingdom.

AIRPORT FACILITIES

Storage: After 6 days goods are transferred to Customs Airport
Warehouse. Time limit 6 months. Thereafter goods will be
auctioned.

Cold Storage: Available
Safe for Valuables: Available
Room for radio-active material: Not available
Clearance: At the airport by consignee or his broker.

Customs Hours: Saturday through Thursday 08:00 - 14:00 hrs. Clearance
outside Customs hours not possible.

CONSOLIDATION:
Consolidation into Jordan is allowed except for the following:

  • Government
  • Royal Palace
  • Royal Jordanian.
  • Dangerous goods
  • Perishable s.

TO BE NOTED:

1.MAWB should be consigned to " AL JAZY SHIPPING
   & FORWARDING".
2.MAWB must show the mention (CONSOLIDATION AS
   PER ATTACHED MANIFEST) in " NATURE OF
   GOODS " section at the exclusion of any other mention.
3.Three copies needed inside pouch.
4.Manifest must list every HAWB (even if only one).
5.Three copies must be attached to MAWB.
6.The HAWB numbers listed in manifest must be identical
   (same number of digits ) as shown on HAWB.
7.HAWB must show full consignee name and address
   including P.O. Box no and telephone no.

CHARGES COLLECT:

Available only with our approval, please telex name of shipper,
consignee's name, phone number and address. Amount of
collect charges should be specified.

PRE ALERTS:

Please send all your pre alerts for Amman to telex number 21600 AL JAZY JO, MAWB number, flight number and date, total number of HAWBS.
